Pultrusions

Pultrusion is the specific name for pieces made of glass fibre reinforced polyester, which are mass-produced with a matrix.
Glass fibres are made in the desired form in this matrix with a thermo-hardening polyester resin.

Glass fibre reinforced pieces are light, strong and corrosion resistant and are therefore an excellent replacement for steel and/or aluminium, and easy and inexpensive to install. The material has a good resistance to virtually all chemicals, and is electrically and thermally insulating.

Carbon fibre or Kevlar reinforcement is also possible in addition to the usual reinforcement with glass fibre. Pultrusions also have limitless options in shapes for virtually every branch of the industry.

Regardless of which material sort or shape chosen, the result is always a perfectly rigid, smooth and durable product. It is coloured throughout, UV-resistant, remains attractive and needs little or no maintenance.

Some applications of pultrusions:

  • Corner and dog bone piece as filler for the electrical industry / transformer construction
  • Round, hollow rods for e.g. flagpoles, concrete and wood renovation, sport, decor and fencing off fields
  • C-, U-, L-, and H-shapes for switch boxes and panel construction
  • Walking gratings for the chemical industry and livestock breeding
